The George Centre, a new medical facility currently under construction in Gregory Hills, reached an important milestone recently with the topping out ceremony taking place.
Officials on hand at the ceremony included Dr Andrew Chang – Chairman of the Board, Acurio, Scott Fowler – Group CEO, Acurio, Dr Robert Lin – Chief Strategy Officer, Acurio, Tony Sukkar AM – Group Managing Director, BuildCorp and Andrew Boustred – Group Development Director, HealthCo.
Due to open in mid-2023, The George Centre will complement Sydney’s Southwest exemplary public health system in supporting local healthcare needs. The maternity, paediatric and surgical hospital is set to attract and retain local medical talent in NSW’s fastest growing region.
The George Centre is the brainchild of Western Sydney born and raised Dr Andrew Chang and has been so named in honour of his late father.

The George Centre will be the only private paediatric facility in NSW.
The 5-storey building will have state-of-the-art operating theatres, specialist maternity delivery suites, radiology, pathology, endoscopy, other allied health services and support services such as pharmacy and a multilevel car park.
Chief Strategy Officer Dr Robert Lin of Acurio, the company behind The George Centre, says they already operate hospitals successfully in NSW. He added:
