Silverdale resident Karen Bedford has a passion for animals. So much so, that her local group ‘Lost and Found Pets Warradale and Mulgoa Valley’ has assisted in helping to reunite over 200 lost pets with their owners over the years.

The group was established in 2015 and has over 1,400 members who all collectively help when a pet has been lost or found in the area.

Each week, Karen volunteers her time to help the group with scanning lost animals and returning them to their owners, scanning deceased animals, checking of microchip details and assisting with aggressive dog reports.

“What I enjoy the most about being a part of the group is the satisfaction of reuniting animals with their owners” explained Karen.

“If you would like to get involved with the group, you can do so by ‘liking’ the Facebook page and sharing the posts on your timeline on social media” she said.
