Alasan Cottage Preschool, located in Glenbrook, has been awarded “Exceeding Level Rating” from The Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority.

“It comes with great pride to accept this great achievement, as Alasan Cottage Preschool is a small 20 place Preschool which offers a home like learning environment for children between the ages of 3 to 6 years” said Vicki Skoulogenis, Director/Owner.

They recently updated their outdoor environment with a more realistic and natural backyard, featuring an amazing branch style teepee with a jetty and winding crazing paving pathway.

This included a grand stage, boat structure and cubbyhouse. All materials were ethically sourced, and all Australian wood used.

The gardens were planted with all Australian native species with texture, colour and shape to allow the children to explore and care for all year round.

Native bees are being introduced also to educate the children the importance that bees have in our environment.

The backyard now complements their indoor environment, which allows the children to prepare for lifelong learning and to bridge the gap between Preschool and Primary School.

They are currently taking enrolments for 2020 and are happy to take families around for a personal tour at your time of convenience.

Alasan Cottage Preschool is open all year round (except for 4-week Christmas closure) and parents can access the Child Care Benefit from Centrelink.
