It’s good to see that Western Sydney Airport Co are out getting involved in our local community, first off by becoming a Supreme Sponsor of this year’s Luddenham Show and having 20 volunteers offer to paint the Luddenham Showground arena fence. Well done to the team on community involvement.
Work is progressing on a temporary airport fence. The fence on the existing Northern Road is just temporary as they prepare for more earthworks. A permanent fence will be constructed on Elizabeth Drive.
Two new roundabouts are being constructed on the Northern Road. One just south of the Shell service station and the other near Leppington Pastoral. These roundabouts will be constructed to provide safe access to the work sites. Eaton Road is about to close as a thru road. Work on the diversion around the airport is making lots of progress and I believe that they are working on getting one side of the road constructed first as to get the traffic off the existing road.
Last month, Member for Mulgoa Tanya Davies MP, showed members of the St Marys RSL Sub Branch the new Anzac Memorial at Hyde Park. It was great to see the soil sample that was collected last year from Luddenham Progress Hall now permanently on display.
The 115th Annual Luddenham Show is on the 2nd and 3rd of March. Known as the Country Show, this year it promises to be bigger and better.
