Jordan Springs musician Lynsey Mackay has begun the year in grand style, thanks to the local resident being selected to sing at the Tamworth Country Music Festival last month as well as plans to release her first EP and complete her studies in classical singing.

The hardworking mother first began vocal and piano lessons from the age of 6 and studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland. Lynsey splits her time between being a solo artist, singer in several bands, teaching vocals, piano and musical theory and producing local events with her company Gold Promotions.

“I have been lucky to travel the world as a performer and experience many events, special occasions and festivals. I had a number of years out of the industry while my daughter was younger and am just so happy to be working back full time in the industry now” Lynsey told the Jordan Springs Gazette.
