Cars Under The Stars was created to drum up extra business for a pizza shop back in 2015. Barney Kodsy wanted to create an event at night where you could look at and admire classic vehicles that was family friendly, with an atmosphere. He was told it wouldn’t work, and he wanted to prove it could be done.
Being family friendly, it offers kids activities like face painting, jumping castles, live entertainment, gourmet food vendors, market stalls and trade stalls.
This event has since grown into being one of Sydney’s premier car enthusiast monthly gatherings. Cars Under The Stars became a charity event in early 2016, with the reason being that all of their hard work should go to a good cause. To date, they have donated over $80,000 into 34 charity organisations and families that are in real need. The event will be held on the 3rd Saturday of each month at Luddenham Showgrounds starting from 5pm to 10pm.
Barney Kodsy’s background knowledge of the entertainment industry, combined with running two successful businesses and being Club President of KAR NUTZ INC (a not for profit classic car club), has been a great asset with rolling out this event.
Being community-based, they are always looking to help legitimate cases for charity. Their success has been greatly due to the fact that they do not tolerate bad behaviour and any form of hooning is reported to the local authorities.
Visit or help out at the next Cars Under The Stars, so they can keep making a difference.
