Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith visited Dive In Swimming Academy to see firsthand how kids in Penrith are keeping active while their parents are keeping the cash, with each school-enrolled child now able to access two $100 Active Kids vouchers.

Stuart Ayres said one of the most popular programs for kids and parents has just been doubled to help kids stay active all year long.

“We all know kids in Penrith want to play sport and keep active with their friends and now parents can encourage them even more with another voucher to help spread the costs associated with participation” said Stuart Ayres.

“Through the latest vouchers released last month, the most popular programs so far are swimming, dance and gymnastics”.

Keryn Daley, Co-owner of Dive In Swimming Academy said “The latest release of the Active Kids Rebate has been very successful with our centre receiving over 130 vouchers within the first few days”.

Treasurer Dominic Perrottet said since the Active Kids program was launched in 2018, more than one million vouchers have been redeemed and more than $100 million saved by NSW families.

“Families across NSW keep telling me how much the Active Kids Vouchers help them manage the cost of living. Now with two per school enrolled child, parents keep even more money in their back pocket while their kids stay happy and healthy” said Mr Perrottet.

Parents of school-enrolled children can access a second $100 Active Kids voucher to use towards registration and membership fees for sport and active recreation each year. For further information, visit sport.nsw.gov.au/activekids or call 13 13 02.
