Belinda Pearce
Managing Editor
Belinda Pearce is the heart and driving force behind the District Gazette.
As Lead Editor, she brings passion, precision, and a deep sense of community to every edition.
Known for her inclusive leadership style, Belinda runs a tight-knit team where every voice is heard and valued.
Her community spirit shines through in every headline, she’s dedicated to showcasing local stories, uplifting underrepresented voices, and creating a platform where the whole town feels seen.
Belinda’s goals include expanding the Gazette’s business connectivity, increasing local engagement through digital platforms, and mentoring the next generation of reporters.
With Belinda at the helm, the Gazette doesn’t just report the news, it brings the community together.
Jade Gregory (Senior Designer)
With over 13 years of experience in Graphic Design, Jade Gregory brings a keen eye for detail, creativity, and a deep understanding of visual communication to the District Gazette team. For the past several years, Jade has proudly contributed to the Gazette’s publications, playing a key role in client collaboration and design execution.
Her responsibilities include working closely with clients to interpret artwork briefs, ensuring each message is clearly and professionally represented. From there, she creates custom advertisements tailored to each brand’s identity and objectives. Helping local businesses shine and seeing their messages come to life on the page remains a particularly rewarding aspect of the role.
In addition to advertisement design, Jade also assists with compiling and refining the layout of various publications. This process, much like solving a puzzle, requires balancing aesthetics and structure to ensure each edition is cohesive, engaging, and visually appealing.
Being part of the District Gazette has allowed Jade to merge design expertise with a passion for supporting local communities. Every published issue highlights the stories and businesses that make the region unique, and Jade takes pride in helping bring it all together through creative, eye-catching design.
Jasmine Stinson (PA)
With over 20 years in administration + receptionist experience and venturing out in her own business for the past 6 years, Jasmine’s role has been predominantly focused on performing diary management duties for Practitioners within the Allied Health Industry.
Jasmine joined the District Gazette in January 2024 team initially as the receptionist. Her position quickly evolved to Personal Assistant to Belinda Pearce who is the proud owner of District Gazette.
Her role is wide and varied, and is very much the mechanics behind the success of the team, including:
- Incoming call management and outbound sales calls
- Email management across the Advertising, Editorial and Design departments
- Coordinating client submissions inline with business demands and time pressures
- Implementing changes to processes and procedures as they arise
- Digital uploads and social media management
Being part of the District Gazette team has shown Jasmine a newfound appreciation for the newspaper industry, different departments with pressures that come with their roles.
Jasmine thoroughly enjoys the pace and the ability to support the success of the team, ultimately providing a fantastic commodity delivered throughout the Community.
She loves the versatility, the different skillsets acquired in this role and that she is always learning!
Cimmaron Sanders (Sales/Writer)
Cimmaron has over a decade of experience working in media sales, including national and international publications. He has managed corporate accounts, through to local businesses. He has a real passion for helping businesses grow and thrive.
With a Bachelor of Arts (Communication Studies) degree, Cimmaron also has many years of experience as a journalist.
Cimmaron has a gift for uncovering the stories that matter most, especially the ones that might otherwise go unheard. Whether he’s spotlighting a local fundraiser, championing grassroots initiatives, or standing up for everyday people, Cimmaron is always rallying support for others.

Tanya Nellestein (Writer)
Tanya Nellestein is a published author, journalist, and community advocate who joined the District Gazette team in December 2023. With a passion for storytelling and a deep appreciation for local voices, Tanya brings a strong narrative instinct and a sharp editorial eye to her work as a contributing writer.
Her background spans across fiction, feature writing, and content development for a variety of industries, including arts, small business, and community services. She is known for crafting engaging profiles, capturing grassroots initiatives, and highlighting the people and projects that shape our region. Tanya’s journalism reflects her belief that the best stories often start in our own backyard—at a community market, on the sideline of a sports field, or in the quiet determination of a local volunteer.
Since joining the District Gazette, Tanya has contributed articles across sectors—showcasing everything from new local businesses to community events—with professionalism, accuracy, and heart. Her collaborative approach, combined with her experience as an author and grant writer, helps her connect with interviewees and readers alike. Whether writing about small-town milestones or personal achievements, Tanya is committed to celebrating the fabric of her community, one story at a time.
Julie Lobel (Writer)
With a diverse experience and background in both software development, telecommunications and Information Technology in the Public Sector in Federal and State Government and Private Enterprise including Health, Banking and Insurance and in Not for Profit; Julie has extensive experience in complex writing with regards to technology tenders and whitepapers.
Personally, Julie enjoys travelling the world with her partner and they have taken over 80 flights in the past three and a half years. Her favourite place other than Australia? Penrith where she lives followed closely by Iceland a place they have visited three times in two and a half years. They also love snow skiing and caravaning with their two kelpies.
Writing for the Gazettes is the highlight of her month as she anticipates the stories she may receive, and Julie says she loves the variety of stories she gets to contribute to and the interesting people that she encounters as part of the process.
Julie looks forward to taking some writing courses this coming year to strengthen her capability as a Freelance Writer.

Her commitment extends beyond logistics; she fosters strong rapport and lasting relationships throughout our distribution network, creating a sense of connection and trust.
