Santa will be trading in his sleigh and reindeers for a fire truck this month, with the Regentville Rural Fire Brigade Santa Run visiting the local community to share some festive spirit.

Pending the operational requirements of the brigade and their crew, the Regentville RFB Santa Run will visit the local suburbs of Glenmore Park, Mulgoa Rise, Regentville, Leonay, Emu Heights and South Penrith in December.

New maps of the route and updates on Santa’s location will be made available shortly on Regentville RFB’s Facebook page.

“Residents and the good boys and girls of our community can expect Santa out and about with the friendly firefighters from Regentville RFB handing out lollies, cheer and advice on what you can do for this already devastating fire season” said Jordan Jobson, Deputy Captain of Regentville Rural Fire Brigade to the Glenmore Gazette.

“What we enjoy most about taking part in this event with Santa is getting out there and visiting the local community.

The looks on the children’s faces when they see a fire truck out the front of their house and then the joyful (sometimes scared) tears when Santa gets out is priceless! After all the community does for us to be able to do our best to protect them, it’s nice to be able to give something back without the fear of an emergency situation” reflected Jordan.
