Wollondilly Council is offering free pool entry for seniors during the month of February in celebration of Seniors Festival 2019.
Seniors are encouraged to get active during the month of February by getting along to their local pool to swim, walk laps or participate in gentle aqua.
Seniors living in Wollondilly will be eligible to access free entry into Wollondilly Leisure Centre and Warragamba Pools by writing down their suburb and postcode. Gentle Aqua classes will also be available at no cost.
Wollondilly Mayor, Matthew Deeth said “Wollondilly has some great aquatic facilities for seniors to enjoy. By offering free pool entry we are hoping seniors will start the New Year off by participating in gentle exercise in the pool and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle to their friends and family of all ages”.
Seniors will be able to access free entry to Wollondilly Leisure Centre, 434 Argyle St, Picton and Warragamba Pools, Farnsworth Ave, Warragamba from 1 February to 28 February 2019.
Wollondilly Shire Council have released for the first time a Seniors Festival 2019 booklet outlining all the free or low cost activities and events available to seniors this February/March.
Seniors are encouraged to call Council on 4677 1100 and request a booklet be sent to them or it can be picked up from Council’s Administration Building in Picton. Booklets are also available for download on Councils website.
