Santa Claus will be trading in his sleigh for a fire truck this month, with the man in the big red suit joining Llandilo Rural Fire Brigade for the Santa Run to Jordan Springs and Llandilo.

The Santa Run will visit Jordan Springs on Sunday 16th December, beginning in the morning where the fire truck will visit various local parks. It will continue again on Christmas Eve in Llandilo. It’s a great opportunity to come and say hi to Santa and take photos. Santa will have lollies onboard for the kids and can only be at each park for 15 minutes as it is his busy time of year.

“This year, we hope that Santa grants our wishes for a quiet season. We hope that we can get around and visit everyone without the threat of fires that Summer can pose for us” said Rick Burns, Captain of Llandilo Rural Fire Brigade.

Captain Rick has been a member of the RFS at Llandilo for 26 years and always looks forward to this great local community event.

“We enjoy seeing the kid’s faces when Santa turns up in the truck. Over the years, many of the kids we’ve seen on the Santa Runs have grown up and now have their own kids who are experiencing the same magic of Christmas” he explained.
