Arab Bank Australia recently hosted a charity golf day last month to help raise funds for The Brain Cancer Group.

The event invited corporate partners to enjoy a fun-filled day of golf at the beautiful Twin Creeks Golf Club. Over 100 people enjoyed the sunshine and cool breeze and with help from their supporters, Arab Bank Australia raised over $30,000 for The Brain Cancer Group.

The Brain Cancer Group is a collaborative team of leading brain cancer specialists. They apply insights from frontline patient care to inform activities across education, support and research, to ensure they are making a difference in the lives of those affected by brain cancer.

Pat Wheaton, CEO of TBCG said “We are incredibly grateful that Arab Bank Australia held such a fantastic event to help us fund our vital programs across our Three Pillars: Education, Support and Research. The Brain Cancer Group’s work would not be possible without support from the community and fundraising efforts like this make a massive difference to brain cancer patients and their families. All the money raised from the event will go directly into funding research to help increase the survival time of brain cancer patients. Thank you to the leading sponsors of the 2018 Golf Day, Construction Consultants, BP – George Khoury, Australian Settlements Limited, Dimension Data Group, Bertacco Ferrier Property Consultants and AJ Gallagher”.

TBCG is a not-for-profit organisation which was founded in 2000 and is administered by a Board of Directors. The Group is funded by generous donations from the public. 100% of all monies raised go directly to support brain tumour research, education and patient and carer support. The Group is based at The Royal North Shore Hospital campus.
